African Development Bank Approves Shs 16 billion (US$ 82million) to finance the post - primary education and training expansion project. The initial US$ 16.05 million project approved in 1991 was to strengthen the Scientific and Technical Teachers' Education Project phase I which was successfully utilized to merge the Uganda Polytechnic Kyambogo and Institute of Teachers Education Kyambogo into a one fully fledged University, Kyambogo University. Both projects are implemented by the Ministry of Education and Sports.

H.E Ambassador Moses K Sebunya presented letter of Credence to H.E Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, President of Tunisia accrediting him as Ambassador Extra Ordinary Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uganda to Tunisia on 22nd Dec 2008. Other countries accredited to include Libya, Algeria.
Uganda Participated in the International Ministerial Conference on Water for Agriculture and Energy for Africa that was held in Libya December 15-17, 2008. Uganda's delegation was composed of Hon. Maria Mutagamba, Minister of Water and Environment and State Minister for Animal Husbandry Hon. Bright Rwamirama. The conference was jointly organized by the Libyan Government and African Union.

Rukia Nakadama Isanga and H.E Moses Kiwe Sebunya led Uganda'sdelegation which composed of Mufti Sheikh Shaban Mubajje and Sheikh Abdul Obedi Kamulegeya amog other Dignitaries.
