Ambassador Moses Kiwe Sebunya has been invited by UNDP Tripoli Office to represent Africa on the World Environment Day which falls on 5th July, 2009. He will make a presentation on how Uganda and African Countries have adapted mitigation measures to combat climate change. This year's theme is "Your Planet needs you - Unite to combat climate Change"

Algeria: Uganda shall participate in the 2nd Pan-African Festivals to be held in Algiers, Algeria starting July, 2009.Uganda will be sending 50 strong delegation comprising of Cultural and dance troupes to participate in festivals that will bring audience across Africa from 5th to 20th July, 2009.

TUNIS: Uganda has signed six loan agreements with the AfDB worth US$345million to finance roads, sanitation, power transmission lines, education and agriculture projects. Hon Syda Bbumba, the Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development and Permanent Secretary/Secretary to Treasurer, Mr Keith Muhakanizi represented Government while Mr. Zeinab El Bakri and Mr. Mandla Gantsho the two Vice Presidents of ADB represented the AfDB at the signing ceremony that took place during the Bank's annual meeting in Dakar, Senegal on 11 May, 2009.
