Uganda is described as the pearl of Africa by Sir Winston Churchill in his book, 'My African Journey'. In the book, he wrote. for magnificence, for variety of form and colour, for profusion of brilliant life - plant, bird, insect, reptile, beast - for vast scale. Uganda is truly the pearl of Africa'. Uganda is truly gifted by nature with a variety of game stock, rich biodiversity and unspoiled scenic beauty.
Uganda is home to the endangered mountain gorillas which are only found in this part of the world. Uganda is also home to 1,000 different species of birds and 12 different species of primates not found anyway in Africa. River Nile, the world's second longest river begins its long journey to Egypt in Uganda passing through Sudan.
With 10 national Parks featuring snow-covered mountains, wildlife, captivating scenery to spectacular water falls; Uganda offers many varied tourist attractions which include bird watching, gorilla/primate tracking, game viewing, white water rafting, mountaineering, sport fishing, and the different local cultures.
